When Sweden’s new national arena was to be built in Solna, wec360° got the prestige mission to visualize the arena in 3D.
Sweden’s new national arena was a well-known project throughout the construction period, and is currently one of Northern Europe’s largest individual construction projects. In order to meet the press’s need for pictures and information, and partly their own marketing information needs, an innovative way to showcase the new super arena was sought.
In competition with some of the largest advertising agencies in the Nordic region, the then newly started wec360° won the opportunity to visualize the entire arena. Our work with Friends Arena was a comprehensive approach for all channels, ranging from still images to movies and 360° virtual tours. We created a comprehensive platform of visualization materials that is still used today.
After the opening of Friends Arena, we have continued our collaboration and delivered visualization material which, among other things, presents how the arena can be used in a variety of ways, for a wide variety of events.
Our images of Friends Arena are used extensively in many contexts in which the arena is an important player.
Together with wec360°, Swedish pop star Petra Marklund released an exclusive video for “Förlorad Värld” (“Lost World”) using an interactive 360° world. Backdrop for the production was Friends Arena.
